Seniors, warmest congratulations! The first phase of your educational journey is about to be completed as a senior. Your High School graduation is a day to feel proud of your accomplishments because you made it happen. Graduation is a day to be thankful to your parents and teachers for all the guidance and help along the way. Before long, you will be embarking on phase two of your educational journey which is college. It is the beginning of a new day and era in your life.

 

College life is exciting and expensive. In showing our appreciation to you for a “job well done,” the C. A. Johnson Alumni Association would like to be of financial assistance. The C. A. Johnson Alumni Association annually sponsors 3- $1,000 scholarships to worthy graduating seniors to be determined by the Scholarship Committee of the Alumni Association. These scholarships are awarded to C. A. Johnson High School graduating seniors who meet the criteria set by the Scholarship Committee and the Alumni Association. The final selection of the scholarship winner(s) will be the responsibility of the Alumni Scholarship Committee. In order to be considered for one of these scholarships, YOU MUST APPLY AND FOLLOW THE

REMEMBER WHEREVER YOU GO WEAR YOUR HORNET PRIDE

 

All applications must:

 

• be completed in its entirety and submitted to Alumni Association [no copies or emails accepted]

Submitted with the following:

• official transcript of ALL academic works completed

• letter of acceptance from the college, community college, or technical school that you will be attending in the Fall

• 500-word essay describing your educational goals

• completed reference forms from 3 non-relative sources

 

 

Consideration of scholarships is based on academic records, character, school and community activities, written expressive ability, personal motivation, and leadership potential.

Neither incomplete nor late applications will be considered by the Alumni Scholarship Committee.

 

APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION NO LATER THAN APRIL 15TH OF EACH YEAR.
